Denis Gaulard’s tour

Denis Gaulard's tour

Level : quite easy
Lasting time : 2 hours

Distance : 7 km

Departure from Barbirey-sur-Ouche, city hall place

Arrived at the pic-nic corner of the bridge on the Gironde, continue 350 m on the D114 towards Jaugey and turn left in the steep path. Reach the Ruère's wood by crossing the field and go up along the fence to the pannel. Continue south until Auvillard. Go through the Saint-Victor's hamlet and cross the Ouche river on the old stone bridge to reach the " bikeroad " on 2 km. Take the D114 until the pic-nic area and then the stone path. Cross the D33 and then the Gironde on the old stone bridge. Continue with the street of the castle until the place.
The road is inviting you to discover old vineyard houses.

Worth seeing : the Chamboran's bridge on the Gironde with its pic-nic stop, the green side announcing the Jaugey's hamlet dominated by an outstanding wash-house, " the Druide table " , a standpoint identified by an outstanding rock.
